Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon had an on-and-off relationship over the years. The Hulkster has talked about the same in several of his interviews. However, it is no secret that the WWE Hall of Famer had some kind of influence backstage. In a viral clip from an old interview, a deceased wrestling legend shared a story about Hogan that made McMahon double his payment.

King Kong Bundy once shared a story The Immortal One shared with him about his payment. Even the host was shocked to hear the numbers.
Hulk Hogan doubled his payment on the spot
In a recent interview clip shared by Wrestling Shoot Interviews on Twitter, Bundy shared Hogan made a whopping amount for WrestleMania 1. The host assumed Hogan might have made $20,000 and Bundy might have made $15,000, but the wrestling legend corrected him.
Bundy said, “You think Hogan made $20? $20,000? Let me tell you a story that Hulk told me from WrestleMania 1. He went into Vince’s office and Vince he had his WrestleMania check when he walked in. It was for $500,000 and he said to Vince, ‘where is the other half?’ Vince [goes (imitates dialing a phone)], ‘Drop a check for Hulk for $500,000.”

Bundy disclosed that he earned $50,000 for the same event and was happy with that. Apart from King Kong Bundy, several WWE and WCW stars have come forward to talk about Hogan over the years.

Nevertheless, after taking a break for some time, Hogan went to WCW and became a member of nWo. Surprisingly, when the nWo returned to WWE, the former CEO of the company made the entire nWo to wait till 3’o clock on their night back. Another renowned wrestler shared a story where McMahon triumphed in the end over Hogan with a creative decision.
Hogan’s WWE return worried Vince McMahon
The WWE Hall of Famer had creative freedom in WCW and it worried McMahon once as recalled by Kurt Angle. While Angle and Hogan were feuding ‘Vinnie-Mac’ wanted The Hulkster to lose but had concerns to reveal it to him.
Hence, McMahon took the ‘Wrestling Machine’ with him to tell the end of the match to Hogan. Angle was nervous, but couldn’t deny the boss’s orders.
Angle once said on his podcast, “And it just blew my mind. I was nervous and scared and was inexperienced. I didn’t know what to think or expect. And Vince wanted me there to make sure Hulk Hogan didn’t talk him out of it.”
