The wrestling universe has recently lost one of its legends far too soon. Since the news broke of Lanny Poffo’s untimely demise, everyone who knew him or his contributions to pro wrestling has shed tears. Among them, one of his closest friends, Hulk Hogan, took to Twitter to share his last moments with him.
In his life, the ‘Leaping Lanny’ has given the majority of his time to wrestling. He was, without a doubt, one of the oldest pro wrestlers in sports entertainment. Both he and his brother, Randy Savage, have been gems in wrestling for a long time. Unfortunately, the wrestling world now has lost both of its precious gems. Even Hogan shared about the time spent with Mr. Madness and The Genius.
The Hulkster paid tribute to The Genius

Among the numerous people who mourned the saddening demise of the WWE legend, The Hulkster was one of them. It’s always tough to put words together while articulating a tribute to your closed ones after they are gone. However, Hogan managed to do it as he talked about how he laughed his butt off a couple of weeks ago with The Genius.
He tweeted, “Still stunned over the passing of Lanny,talked with him very often,was laughing my butt off a couple of weeks ago with him over the phone,he is such a quality person,and was the full time ref between Randy and I,love you my brother,R.I.P.Genius”

We might not understand the shock that The Hulkster must have felt after the news of Lanny’s death broke to him. However, his words clearly reflect the loss he suffered. Even though they were known for their intense feud, their journey in the squared circle has seen several highs and lows.
The well-known feud between Hulk Hogan and Lanny Poffo
Both Hogan and Poffo have faced each other in the ring many a time. The Genius actually scored a victory over Hogan during Hulkamania’s heyday. It was quite rare at the time for Hogan to lose a match. However, their WWE feud was one of the well-known storylines that showed its peak when Poffo defeated Hogan on Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC in 1989.

This clarifies that a professional feud does not pull apart people. The greatest example of it is the friendship between Mr. America and Lanny.
