Professional wrestlers are on the road for 300+ days a year. They often find a travel buddy with whom they go from arena to arena, following their hectic schedule. Considering the sheer amount of time they spend together, it’s very easy for things to go south. Hulk Hogan recently shared about having a “rough go” with his travel buddy for over a decade.

Hogan’s travel buddy was a legendary WWE Hall of Famer and one of the most recognizable characters in pro wrestling history. The two stars traveled together for nearly 15 years.

Recently, ‘The Hulkster’ appeared in a Men’s Health ‘Gym & Fridge’ video. He shared about his daily routine, diet, and his workout regimen as a 69-year-old. Owing to his long and eventful career in pro wrestling, Hulk Hogan has some interesting wrestling stories. This time, he shared one about Andre the Giant. 

‘The Hulkster’ was showing the Men’s Health crew what was inside his fridge when he was asked about his travel buddy. Hogan went on to talk about what he ate on the road. He also reminisced about sharing meals with Andre the Giant.

The 12-time world champion said, “Oh, please. Andre the Giant was my traveling companion for the last 15 years and we ate all the time together. But the 10 or 12 years before that it was a rough go.”

As a 7ft, 500lbs man, Andre had an enormous appetite and also consumed a lot of wine. Recently, even Ric Flair shared seeing the WWE Hall of Famer drink two gallons of wine on the way to Tokyo.

Hogan also traveled with Andre to Japan on numerous occasions. Irrespective of everything that happened between them, ‘The Hulkster’ respects the late WWE legend a great deal. Their WrestleMania 3 match is still a classic among old and new generations of wrestling fans alike.

Hogan’s worst injury came against Andre the Giant at WrestleMania 3

Slamming a 500lbs body is no easy task. But that’s what Hulk Hogan did on the grandest stage in 1987. But slamming Andre the Giant gave ‘The Immortal One’ his worst wrestling injury. The latter talked about it in the same interview.

‘The Hulkster’ said, “Probably the worst injury I had in the ring was at WrestleMania 3… I tore both of my biceps. This part of my back (left side) is solid, but this part (right side) is all torn away. But that was the worst injury. I tear both my biceps and back in one shot.”

The 69-year-old shared he never got his biceps fixed after that. Hogan talked about how being able to wrestle after the injury was a big thing for him. What are your thoughts on Hulk Hogan’s comments? Share your opinion below.
