Recently, during an interview with Ariel Helwani, Hulk Hogan opened up about multiple topics such as his retirement match, injuries, and even heel turn. Speaking on the latter topic, Helwani would ask Hogan, what he thinks would have been the perfect spot for Cena to turn heel.
What did Hulk Hogan reveal about John Cena’s heel turn?
The 69-year-old instantly opened up on the moment and the exact spot, where John Cena should have turned heel. He claimed that during his spot with Cena, the crowd energy was something different, and it indicated toward Cena undergoing a major character change.
Throughout his professional wrestling career, John Cena has only undergone one heel turn. And the other times, he has remained as a babyface. During the rest of his career, Cena remained the face of the company as a babyface character, with no shades of gray in him.

Hogan described the perfect scenario for when Cena could have turned heel. He said, ” He could have done it. I think he could have switched gears and took the Hollywood thing. There was an opportunity for him to turn heel. I guess when I first went up there, people were a little back and forth whether Cena with the ‘You can’t see me’ was getting a little funky.”

Hogan continued, “When I went out with Cena, the first time i was there, and then when I went out there again, I thought things are a little different out here you know.” Hogan said Cena could’ve attacked him and the crowd would’ve gone wild.
Cena turning heel during the prime of his WWE career could’ve been a big deal. With him now being a complete part-timer, the chances of it happening are quite rare.
