Ever since Goldberg called out Roman Reigns during his recent appearance on WWE’s The Bump, fans have wondered if WWE will actually go that way. Why? We know WWE can use social media to further their storylines, and this could’ve been the first blood drawn.

Although no one in the wrestling community wants to see Goldberg wrestle Reigns for the Universal Championship, the plans might head in that direction. The Wrestling Observer Radio reports Goldberg could be one of the two likely opponents for Reigns at WrestleMania. The other? Daniel Bryan.

Goldberg lost the Universal Championship to Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 36 in his last WWE match. He and Roman Reigns were originally scheduled to square off in a ‘Spear vs Spear’ battle at WrestleMania 36, but plans changed as Reigns backed out.

Now that Reigns is back as the ‘Tribal Chief,’ there’s no stopping him. We doubt if even Goldberg could do that, but then we remember him defeating The Fiend last year for the Universal Championship. Anything is possible in the WWE; but please WWE don’t make Reigns vs Goldberg a reality, not for the title at least.

What about Daniel Bryan?

Daniel Bryan seemed like engaging in a feud with Roman Reigns; it quickly diverted to Jey Uso and ended there as KO stepped up to the ‘Head of the Table.’ The way things ended this past Friday Night on SmackDown, we could see the Reigns and KO rivalry end at the Royal Rumble.

There’s no doubt Reigns will walk out the victor in the match with some new tricks up his sleeve. The question is, how will Daniel Bryan step up to the champ? A Royal Rumble victory? Quite a possibility, given the impressive record D-Bry has in the Rumble match. Plus, it’s the only accolade he is yet to achieve in his WWE career.
