Dwayne Johnson will star in the much anticipated Black Adam movie, later this month. The hype surrounding the former WWE champion’s first appearance as a live action superhero, is off the charts. The cast will also feature the James Bond actor, Pierce Brosnan, as ‘Doctor Fate’. However, another top Hollywood star had expressed his desire to star in the Black Adam.

After Dwayne Johnson announced that he will play the DC anti-hero, his popular co-star and best friend, Kevin Hart, said he wanted to be a part of the standalone movie.

Hart wanted in on the action and to play a role in the DC universe’s next installment. But despite DJ saying they will find a part for Hart, nothing seems to have happened, leaving his Jumanji co-star in a limbo.

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart have made quite a few appearances together on the big screen. The duo have shared the screen in movies like Jumanji (both parts) and Central Intelligence, while Hart also made a cameo appearance in Hobbs & Shaw. They are also good friends are often involved in trolling each other whenever they get the chance.

As such, Hart anticipated that his friend may have a role for him in Black Adam as well. In 2019, the two actors sat down with ET Canada and talked about their movie Jumanji: The Next Level. During the interview, Hart said that he wanted a role in The Rock’s Black Adam as well.

‘The Great One’ also seemed in agreement and said, “We’ve got to find the part for Kevin in Black Adam within the DC Universe.”

However, it seems nothing has materialized about Hart making a surprise appearance in his friend’s anti-hero flick. It looks like Johnson may have left him hanging on his Black Adam promise. If Hart does end up doing a cameo, it will be one of the best-kept secrets in recent Hollywood history.
