The first Premium Live Event in which Cena took part after his return was Fastlane 2023. The announcement had made fans excited as not only did they get to see him back in action but also his teaming up with LA Knight sounded like a good idea to many. In the past, John Cena had shown his support for the 40-year-old star. The two got together to take on Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso in a tag team match. They both emerged victorious with Bloodline suffering a major loss.

After the event, the duo were present at the media scrum. There John Cena was asked the dire question. Upon being asked how long his current run would be, he had said soon enough. He highlighted the fact that he will not be able to do movies and WWE simultaneously. So he indirectly meant that as soon as the strikes ended, he would return to Hollywood. But with the current situation of the strikes, it looks like he will be sticking around for some more time.
