Tama Tonga debuted on the first SmackDown after WrestleMania XL. Joining The Bloodline under Solo Sikoa, he replaced Jimmy Uso. Moving forward, he had his first match at WWE Backlash, where his brother Tanga Loa debuted. Prior to the WWE, Tonga and Loa were together in NJPW. They worked under the tag team of Guerrillas of Destiny and gained significant fanfare.
Meanwhile, in the present, they joined hands with their leader in Sikoa, and they formed The Bloodline 2.0. Post Backlash, it was announced that he would be in the King of the Ring tournament. This could be the foreseeable plan that the WWE has laid out for him after qualifying in his first singles match against Angelo Dawkins. Moreover, he should emerge as the victor of the prestigious tournament according to some notable wrestling insiders.

Since his debut, Tonga has been a hot topic in the wrestling community. People have looked into his past and his work in NJPW with his brother and debated how the WWE could use him. Continuing this trend on the Busted Open podcast, Jonathan and Justin debated Tonga’s involvement in the tournament. They discussed the possible outcome and how it could factor into the storyline. They also mentioned that WWE claimed they had wanted the brothers in the WWE for years. This was halted by the fact that under the PG era, the violence and language they used in NJPW wasn’t acceptable. However, this only added to their backstory and lore.

At the 22:14 mark, Justin said, “And so with all of this, all this backstory, credibility that we’re discussing right now, how can he do anything less than go to the finals?” Right now, the first round of the tournament is almost over with the next starting soon. The winner will be decided at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE in Saudi Arabia. It was also mentioned, “And how fitting? At one point, his father was King Haku.” Tonga’s father was also called King Haku during his WWE run. Nevertheless, the son of the WWE legend has a bright future in the WWE, especially with his impending clash against The Usos alongside his brothers.

While Tonga battles his way up the tournament, the fans have one match in mind, The Bloodline vs The Usos with Roman Reigns. The duo also mentioned on the podcast that it would be brilliant to see the old take on the new. With Jimmy out of the group, he will reunite with his brother. Once Reigns returns, he will have to fight for his power.
This would open the gateway for the old Bloodline to take on version 2.0. With the speculation of Jacob Fatu debuting soon, Sami Zayn, who was a member of the old Bloodline, could also return. What do you think? Should Tonga be crowned King Tonga? Tell us in the comments.
