After entertaining wrestling fans for almost four decades, Sting‘s career run is finally coming to an end. The legendary wrestler joined AEW in 2021 after spending significant time out on the sidelines. After working at Tony Khan’s promotion for four years, he finally decided to draw the curtains on a storied career at the age of 64. Tonight is the night when we see him inside the ring for one last time.

The wrestling legend will be wrestling for the last time at the AEW Revolution PPV, but he won’t be alone during the event. Instead, a WCW legend has already confirmed his presence among the fans at the venue.

Sting and Darby Allin will defend their AEW Tag Team Championship against The Young Bucks at the PPV in a few hours. Because it is Sting’s final match, there are chances that he and Allin will lose the title. Whatever the outcome may be, the senior wrestler won’t be alone in the arena to face it. Recently, Lex Luger took to Twitter to upload an old picture of him standing beside his former tag team partner. He wrote, “My how time flys by!! Tonight is gonna be so special! Love you my friend😊🙏🏼❤”. To this tweet, a fan asked whether Luger would be there for his friend at the PPV and the ex-wrestler replied, “👍“.

The two wrestlers were a team for over a decade, having disbanded in 2002. However, Luger showed that there isn’t emotional distance between the two friends even though they don’t work together anymore. Nevertheless, what we can expect to occur during Sting’s final match at AEW Revolution?

What appearances can we expect at The Icon’s final match?

As the PPV is merely a few hours away, Luger’s revelation comes as a surprise. Although the former wrestler hasn’t revealed whether he would be standing with the rest of the audience or have a spot in the match, the possibility of the latter can’t be overlooked. Apart from him, there are five more WCW legends that we have speculated to appear at Sting’s final match. There have been no hints from Tony Khan about such a possibility, but the occasion may call for this unexpected moment to happen.
