The WWE Universe recently witnessed a brutal encounter between its top stars. It involved the superstars of the promotion’s current, most engaging storyline, Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes. The brief segment showed the viciousness of The Beast Incarnate when he almost ended Rhodes’ career. Despite that, Triple H found a reason to stick to the pair’s clash at Night of Champions.

On the last Monday Night Raw before the WWE’s premium live event in Saudi Arabia, fans saw Lesnar attacking The American Nightmare. To leave Rhodes in pain, he used everything possible. From slamming a steel barrel into his left hand to applying a kimura lock on his already-injured arms, he did it all. This also forced the creative chief of WWE to ask Rhodes to back out from his singles match at Night of Champions. But in a surprising turn of events, Hunter allowed the duo to clash at PLE.

Triple H said, “Cody does have a broken arm, obviously, not the best situation in the world. I don’t know if it’s the smartest decision in the world, but here’s the thing: Brock Lesnar wants to fight, Cody Rhodes wants to fight. Do you wanna see them fight?

Following his acceptance of the cruel reality, he asked fans if they wanted to see this breathtaking clash or not. And in immediate response to it, fans cheered at the top of their voice. As a result, The King of the Kings declared his verdict.

Then, tomorrow, in this dome, they’re going to fight,” he added.

This declaration by Triple H must have delighted fans as they can now see one of the most intense fights unveil in front of them.

That being said, one can find some resemblance between this angle and what went down with the ex-AEW star last year at WWE Hell in a Cell. Similar to the current situation, last year, Rhodes legitimately tore his pectoral muscle but still competed against Seth Rollins. Although he won the fight but spent the remaining year on the shelf as he underwent surgery.

Now, this relation of the storylines makes it more fascinating to see what unfolds next at the PLE.
