From Dwayne Johnson to Triple H to The Undertaker, wrestling stars have been known to indulge in their philanthropic side. Most notably, Cody Rhodes was recently seen donating his robe to be auctioned for charity by the WWE. As part of the newer generation of wrestlers showcasing their commitment to the cause, Bayley has also taken part in the auctioning spree.

Slowly but surely, The Role Model seems to be catching up to Rhodes’ bid of $46,700 by auctioning off her own in-ring gear for the greater good. In fact, in a recent spree of donations, the pro-wrestler has decided to auction off several of her outfits. Most notably the one she wore in WWE’s ‘Thunderdome Era’.

Bayley has recently decided to auction off her in-ring gear on eBay. According to the listing description posted by the pro-wrestler herself, the Women’s Grand Slam Champion wore the gear during the memorable ‘Thunderdome Era’.”Merch shirt cut and studded with black jeans and studded BAYLEY logo. Worn during the memorable “Thunderdome Era” that took place during the pandemic in 2021,” the listing read. The listing has already had over 85 bids, with the gear at a staggering amount of nearly $25,000, over half of what Rhodes’ robe fetched.

That’s not all. The star has several of her outfits up for auction on the site, ranging from $1,700 to nearly $12,000. The 35-year-old star has stated that all of the proceedings would be going to the Hawaiian Animal Rescue Foundation (HARF).

The foundation is an animal welfare organization based in Kahului, Hawaii. It focuses on educating people on how to treat animals. Along with that, the foundation also helps in providing food and shelter for animals in need. Most notably, the organization is currently helping animals that have been impacted by the Maui wildfires.

Although it might seem as if she is walking in the steps of Cody Rhodes after his recent donation, this is not the case. The star has shown herself to be an avid supporter of the organization for a very long time. As a massive animal lover, it’s not hard to see why the star would make such a big gesture.

Needless to say, philanthropy is a part of being a WWE star. Rhodes and Bayley are not the only stars who have shown off a philanthropic spark.

WWE stars and their compassionate sides

Without any argument, the first person that comes to everyone’s mind when it comes to philanthropy is Dwayne Johnson. He started his charity called the Dwayne Johnson Rock Foundation, with the goal of empowering terminally-ill children.Similarly, John Cena has broken records for his contributions to fulfilling the most wishes for terminally-ill children through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Meanwhile, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque and Stephanie McMahon are known for starting their own organization called Connor’s Cure, in partnership with The X Foundation. This organization is at the forefront of pediatric cancer research and provides aid to children suffering from cancer. Incidentally, this also happens to be the very same foundation that the proceeds of Rhodes’ robe auction went to.

The Undertaker is another WWE alumni who is a known philanthropist. He founded the Zeus Compton Calaway Save the Animals Fund at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences with his ex-wife. They provide funds for expensive medical procedures for large-breed dogs.

While the old guard has left a legacy of philanthropy, it seems that the newer generation of wrestlers are picking up where they left off.

What do you think about Bayley’s efforts to auction off her in-ring gear to help a good cause?
