But despite that, the WWE legend also has a unique skill that fans rarely know. The $820 million net-worth star is also known among his peers for lateral thinking. The problems that other stars keep on worrying about, Dwayne Johnson tends to solve within minutes. And the same happened on the set of one of his initial Hollywood projects, The Rundown (2003). 

The Rock was working on this movie when he started missing his family. But he solved this problem with an amazing idea and turned his movie set into a holiday resort.

The time when Dwayne Johnson turned working hours into family time

The Rundown (Welcome to the Jungle) was one of the major movies in Dwayne Johnson’s early Hollywood career. The movie’s plot was all about a bounty hunter Beck (played by Dwayne Johnson), who leaves for a mission in a small town in Brazil. However, the movie was shot in Hawaii rather than Brazil.

Being away from the family that too in a perfect holiday location made Dwayne Johnson feel homesick. And since it was a major project for his career, instead of taking a break, Johnson thought out of the box.

He invited his wife Dany Garcia (ex-wife now) and his two-year-old daughter Simone Garcia Johnson to Hawaii and decided to turn the working hours into family time.

2003 was really a crucial year for Dwayne Johnson. He was already on top of WWE and the fans loved him. He was also a budding star in the Hollywood industry and was working on his third big movie that could potentially decide his future in the field.

And on top of that, his first child was growing up and because of a packed schedule, he had to make time for her. All these things combined made Johnson miss his family, and he took that step.
