Dwayne Johnson has a never-ending love for the game of football, even though he never got a chance to play in the NFL. However, years after becoming a top Hollywood star and WWE legend, The Rock made the most electrifying introduction in the history of the Super Bowl earlier this year. He claimed this opportunity to be a dream come true.

After being present at the Super Bowl for the 2021/22 season, Dwayne Johnson made his presence SoFi Stadium on Thursday. The Rock was present to kick off the 2022/23 season in Los Angeles.

The WWE legend said, “Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams, get out of your seats, stomp your feet. It is time to rampede.”

Even though Johnson made an electrifying kick-off to the new season, it seems some fans weren’t happy to see him. There were mixed reactions by the fans as DJ made his appearance in the NFL kick-off game.

Some people were happy to see The Rock kick-off the new season.

However, many other fans weren’t happy to see DJ at the Sofi Stadium.

It surprised these fans that Johnson was paid to appear and also promoted his movie.

Some fans said he should have saved this appearance at the Sofi Stadium for WrestleMania.

It seems many fans didn’t expect to see The Great One at SoFi Stadium on Thursday. However, he wanted to promote his movie ‘Black Adam’, which hits the theaters on 21st October 2022. Moreover, this could be an early appearance of Johnson in Los Angeles before heading to WrestleMania 39 next year.

Dwayne Johnson: WrestleMania 39 plans

A few months back, there were plans made for WrestleMania 39 by the WWE. This was before WrestleMania 38, as the famous wrestling promotion always plans one year ahead for all the events. WrestleMania is the mega-event show in sports entertainment every year and WWE always wants it to be as perfect as possible.

As per reports, WWE has already planned not one but two major main-event status matches for next year. Fans might be excited to know that Roman Reigns vs The Rock is in the plans.

Dave Meltzer shared some exciting news about WrestleMania 39. He said, “The idea for next year’s event at SoFi Stadium is to have Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson vs. Roman Reigns and Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch as its two big showcase matches.”

However, Roman Reigns vs The Rock is a dream match for wrestling fans. ‘The Great One’ gave a hint in his NBC series, Young Rock. He called his match against Roman Reigns, a WrestleMania caliber match.
