“I Feel Good”: Dwayne Johnson Seemingly Confirms Major Black Adam Rumor with His Subtle Hints

It is no secret that Dwayne Johnson fought for a long time with DC for a solo Black Adam to be made. DC offered this role to The Rock in 2014 in the movie Shazam, but DJ knew they can do much more with the character. 

Over the course of all those years, we saw a change in DC management. Many have assumed several times that DCEU tried to follow MCU’s Kevin Feige, but never reached the success he did.

Dwayne Johnson believes in the new DCEU management

Recently, talking with Brandon Davis of Comicbook.com, Dwayne Johnson talked about the future of DCEU with Black Adam. As per the words of The Rock, it looked seemingly true that DCEU’s Kevin Feige-inspired plan may surely face hurdles.

Johnson said, “So I feel really good Brandon, you’re asking question about where we’re at today. I feel really confident in the new leadership that’s in here now at Warner Bros. and actively looking now … we’re gonna land on some leadership for the DC side, too.”

The Teth-Adam actor added, “So this idea that I’ve been saying for about a year now, about, ‘Hey, this is a new era in the DC universe.’ It’s a new era there, it’s a new era in Black Adam. You saw the end of Black Adam, that’s a new era too as well that we’re bringing in. So I feel good.”

For many years DC has tried to follow MCU while making movies. The perks of these we saw when DC announced Justice League after releasing four movies, which the audience found tough to connect. This was because they didn’t introduce all the characters.

MCU released also released four movies and introduced all the characters. This made fans easy to understand the plot. 

Johnson wants this pattern in DCEU, and it seems like fans are getting that with the new management after the merger with Discovery. The studio is still finding someone similar to Kevin Feige in DCEU to achieve the same success MCU found over the years.

Will The Rock be completely involved with the DCEU?

Over the past few months, we saw Johnson talking about how Black Adam will bring the ‘New Era for DCEU’. It seems the studio has planned several things after the upcoming movie.

Johnson has involved himself in the world of DC for planning further movies. On top of that, a few months back, there was news that The Rock will be the advisor of DCEU.

Dwayne Johnson isn’t a top official in DC, but it seems like Kevin Feige is coming up with a major saga for MCU. The Rock also wants to do the same in DC. He will be associated with the studio for a long time and will advise them on upcoming movies.
