“Didn’t Give Me Anything”: $30 Million Top Star Once Publicly Called Dwayne Johnson “Cheap” For Not Giving a Gift

Dwayne Johnson has a tendency to become the best friend of his co-actors while they are filming. There are times when he surprises his co-stars with gifts while they are filming or during some special occasions. However, once a top Hollywood actress publicly called The Rock is cheap for not giving her a gift for a special occasion.

A few months ago, Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote their film Red Notice. On the show, Kimmel did actor Ryan Reynolds, or The Rock gave a gift to her newborn daughter at the time.

Gadot said, “No, they actually didn’t give me anything. They are cheap. Neither of them (gave me anything), none of them” 

The Rock tried to defend himself but the Israeli actress added, “No, no, no that’s okay, by the way. I’m not judging you. You have a lot on your plate.”

Johnson replied, “Well, wait a second, now you’re assuming right. We should now assume, but here’s the thing. Your baby’s four months old right and I texted you congratulations. But I always knew that I will come here on Kimmel’s show with you. And I actually have your gift tonight.”

The WWE legend then requested Gadot to close her eyes and picked her gift from behind his chair. The gift was a coffee mug with a red bow and Jimmy Kimmel Live printed on it. Johnson said “Congratulations” while giving the gift.

The Wonder Woman star acted surprised after receiving the gift from The Rock. Further, she added that this is a thing she wanted and her daughter Daniella would love the mug.

How many times have Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot shared the screen together?

Prior to co-starring in Red Notice, Johnson and Gadot shared the screen while filming Fast Five. Both the stars are an integral part of the Fast and the Furious Franchise. Furthermore, they worked again in Fast and Furious 6.

The Red Notice stars have a history with the Fast and the Furious Franchise. Gadot joined the franchise during the fourth installment and was a part of the franchise until the sixth part in which her character dies. However, her character is reminisced of several times in further movies.

Meanwhile, DJ joined the cast during the fifth film. He left the franchise after the eighth installment and has also done a spin-off named Hobbs and Shaw, with actor Jason Statham.

Furthermore, there are no plans as of now for Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot working together in a film. However, with The Rock joining DCEU with the Black Adam we can assume a cameo of these stars in each other’s movies.
