Dwayne Johnson shared a video on his Instagram.. In the video he gave a detailed information of being surprised by the hotel he recently stayed. However, this surprise made The Rock recall the stereotypes he had to face Hollywood.

The Rock recalled, “When I first got to Hollywood 20 years ago, I worked my a** off to get here. They told me, ‘look you can’t call yourself The Rock. Don’t go to the gym, and don’t talk about pro-wrestling. Be like George Clooney, be like Will Smith.’ I said, ‘no I can’t be like those guys. Guys, I gotta be myself. And if I fail in my Hollywood career, then at least I failed knowing that was me.”

However, Johnson decided to follow his own path and maintain his identity. Hence, today as The Rock, he is a WWE Legend and as Dwayne Johnson, he is a worldwide famous Hollywood actor.

Johnson decided to be himself. Notably, while once he rejected to follow the footsteps of Will Smith and now there are talks of The Rock replacing Smith in Aladdin 2 for the role of Genie.

Clearly, The Great One has come a long way from not succeeding in the NFL to becoming a top WWE superstar and then pursuing an acting career.

Which heartwarming surprise did Dwayne Johnson get?

The Rock recently stayed at his favorite hotel named Hotel Belair. The hotel staff surprised DJ, by including things from his famous brands. Moreover, the surprise that emotionally moved him was a mosaic with all of his movies poster on it.

Johnson said, “For example, they had the Teremana Tequila ready to pour, this was an awesome gesture. Then you come over here. They also had the Zoa energy drink ready to go. But this is the main event, I was like HOLYS*IT! The hotel surprises me with a mosaic of every movie that I have done in the course of my career. Hotel Belair, thank you, wow.”

The Rock added, “But it also sat me down. I’ve never seen my movies laid out like this. So it was reminder for me to say thank you guys around the world, you and your families thank you for your love, the support, and the trust that I deliver my passion.”
