It is highly unusual for Dwayne Johnson, who upholds the belief that everyone should be treated with respect, to get into a rivalry, especially with a well-known Hollywood celebrity. Still, unlike John Cena, he had a well-publicized feud with Vin Diesel while they were working together.
The Fast & Furious stars, The Rock and Diesel, have openly made a lot of remarks about each other on many occasions. However, once, not just Johnson but also his co-star and friend, Emily Blunt, teamed up to take shots at Diesel over his remark about DJ.

To put things into perspective, in a 2021 interview with Men’s Health during the promotion of his film, the Fast and Furious lead actor said that he purposefully got into a fight with Johnson in order to help him grow and become a better actor. In his words, “I could give a lot of tough love. Not Felliniesque, but I would do anything I’d have to do in order to get performances in anything I’m producing.”
Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt joined forces to mock Vin Diesel
The remarks did get around like wildfire, and when DJ and Blunt sat down with the Hollywood Reporter, he was questioned about this. On the remark, Johnson said, “I laughed and I laughed hard. I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I’ll leave it at that. And that I’ve wished them well. I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me.”

Hearing this, Blunt joined in with sarcasm, “Just thank God he was there. Thank God. He carried you through that.” Johnson responded by finding the comment laughable and reiterated that he won’t be appearing in the next two Fast & Furious films. However, Blunt’s involvement was also hilarious, as she mocked Diesel with the same approach she typically uses on her co-star. It shows the connection and the bond both share with each other.
