“Dwayne Johnson Wanted to Fight Superman”: The Rock’s Great Influence May Have Got Henry Cavill Into DC’s Black Adam

From becoming a WWE champion to being the box office champion, the career of Dwayne Johnson has been quite interesting to follow. He has raised the standard with his action-packed movies, solidified his position as the biggest Hollywood star, and had a significant impact on the industry. Similarly, The People’s Champ’s upcoming movie Black Adam will serve as another example of his influence in Hollywood.

In case you didn’t know, The Rock has long wished that Henry Cavill would play Superman in his upcoming film, Black Adam. As Cavill wasn’t under contract with DC, it wasn’t likely to be the case. Nonetheless, Johnson showed his influence, and as per some speculations, Cavill made an appearance in the film.

Finally, after a prolonged period of anticipation, The Rock will make his DC film debut. Meanwhile, as Cavill reportedly made his appearance, the focus of the rumors moved from Black Adam to Superman. Additionally, it is believed that none other than The Rock is responsible for making it happen.

Speaking of the Superman cameo rumors, renowned Canadian YouTuber and film critic John Campea added to the notion in his most recent video. He also chimed in as a response to a viewer’s inquiry regarding whether he believes The Rock had any influence on Cavill joining the project. Replying to that, Robert Burnett stated, “Bringing him back in this film makes perfect sense to me and I’m sure looked a great thing. If this is true, it’s because Dwayne The Rock Johnson made it so.”

The movie pundit added, “He organizes the whole thing. Because that’s what he wanted and you know he’s the kinda guy if somebody you know coming from his wrestling background, who do you want to see Black Adam fight? I’m sure the first thing he gets, I, Dwayne Johnson, wanted to fight Superman, that was probably in his mind. I mean, there’s probably nobody better position in Hollywood to of made this happen.”

Cavill and The Great One have a great friendship with one another and have the same manager, Johnson’s ex-wife, Dany Garcia. Notably, DJ previously stated that he wants Cavill to appear in his film due to their chemistry and friendship, and the latest rumors have it that it may have actually happened.
