DC Advisor Dwayne Johnson Once Threatened Disney Over a Popular Video Starring Hollywood Star Emily Blunt

Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt promoted the Jungle Cruise on a significant platform last year. Even though the film’s release was delayed due to the pandemic, Johnson and Blunt kept the film’s buzz alive throughout the year.

DJ and Blunt did multiple shows and interviews to promote the movie. Moreover, both the stars shared their versions of trailers before the movie’s release. However, The Rock got upset over Blunt’s video and took a shot at Disney over it. 

Before the release of The Jungle Cruise, Dwayne Johnson shared a video of Emily Blunt’s version of the trailer on his Instagram. Along with the video, Johnson shared a long caption in which, in a fun way, DJ told about being angry with Disney to let Blunt release her trailer.

DJ, in his caption, wrote “FEEL HIS WRATH’”, jokingly threatening Disney. The reason he did this was that he lost to the British actress in the trailer war. Moreover, Blunt defeated Johnson with her kindness.

One of the games that Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt played in their respective videos, was pretending they couldn’t quite remember the other one’s name. Thus Dwayne Johnson became ”Dave Gobson”.

So the person Johnson calls ‘ONE MEAN SOB’ is the made-up person he became in this trailer war. Clearly, both the stars enjoyed their time outside the set and are good friends.

Also, Blunt and Johnson have excellent chemistry and aspire to work in more movies. However, there is no news on the future projects planned for them.

Dwayne Johnson did everything in his pocket to bring Emily Blunt to The Jungle Cruise

Emily Blunt had initially declined to do this Disney after doing ‘A Quiet Place’ and ‘Mary Poppins Returns’. However, The Rock, who was a fan of her work, did everything to make her accept this movie.

The Hollywood Reporter in their July 2021 Magazine mentioned what Johnson said to convince Blunt for the movie. Johnson said, “I had not even met her. And I wanted to let her know via this video just how important she was to this movie and how I only wanted her in this movie. And it was great and I … I actually never heard again from Emily. Didn’t respond at all. Just ghosted me.”

The director of the film Jaume Collet-Serra flew to New York to hand deliver a script directly to Blunt at her home in Brooklyn. Johnson told him to show a video he made so that his charming nature can convince her.

Blunt found the video sweet and sensitive. Therefore, after listening to the script, the Devil Wears Prada actress said yes to The Jungle Cruise.
