In recent weeks, audiences finally got to view the highly awaited film Dwayne Johnson, starring Black Adam. Given that this was The Rock’s first live-action superhero film, there was a lot of excitement around the release, and everyone’s eyes were riveted to the screen to see how the DCEU would enter its new age. So it is fair to say it was one of the most anticipated movies of his career.
The overall reaction from the audience was positive. However, despite extensive advertising and marketing, the film didn’t draw the crowds that were anticipated. Meanwhile, after well-known film reviewer Erik Davis published the box office report, fans were somewhat unimpressed with the outcomes.

On Sunday, the box office totals for the most recent week were released publicly. It’s interesting to see that The Black Adam, at $18M, once again topped the earnings list. The fans then started making fun of The Rock since the numbers weren’t particularly impressive.
In terms of the total revenue for the movie, it even fell short of $400 M. On the other hand, because of the excitement, advertising, and Henry Cavill factor around the movie, it was anticipated to surpass his previous box office record. However, it was only able to do a passable job. Therefore, when the reports were released, the figure didn’t impress the supporters.
Dwayne Johnson received critical criticism from fans
In reaction to the report, one user said that since there was no competition, it was able to dominate the box office.
That's due to the release schedule, nothing else…

In addition, one user disagrees that earning $18 million was a victory.
18 millions, means "win" for you?

Has little to no competition and will have all the air sucked out when Wakanda Forever drops

One user complained that Black Adam’s performance was merely passably good and not remarkable.
THE BATMAN is a big win, BLACK ADAM is decent at best in the box office and critical scores are bad.

Doesn't seem to break even though. Maybe not even close…..

Meanwhile, one user asserts that the domination will end after this week.
easy enough to achieve when no other movie came out. wait till next week and it won’t happen again

One follower pointed out that it hasn’t yet surpassed the $400 million mark.
It won't even make it past 400. What a disaster.

Another supporter said that the three weeks should be a thing and that the movie did a mediocre job, but that it had an easier route given the lack of competition.
I mean when you have zero competition the three weeks should be a thing, however this movie has significantly underperformed and is headed to bust status

In general terms, the figures are rather disappointing by Dwayne Johnson’s standards. Even if the figures aren’t in the movie’s favor, Black Adam succeeded in grabbing the attention of many fans and many undoubtedly enjoyed the movie as a whole and are eager to see what comes next.
