John Cena is the greatest and the most popular WWE Superstar of all time. He is a face that fans across the globe recognize and is a legitimate hero for everyone. However, Cena left his comfort zone of being a hero for the people, and joined the dark side in his upcoming film, F9.
John Cena reveals how F9 role came to be

During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, John Cena shared how he got cast in F9 as Vin Diesel’s brother, Jacob. He revealed he met Vin Diesel in Los Angeles and hung out with him, talking about his future plans and what not.
The two talked about everything but about working together in Fast and Furious. Although a few days later, Cena got a pleasant surprise. He revealed he got a call from the production and they asked him to be in F9. However, he still didn’t know what his role in the film would be.

Cena further added that it was Vin Diesel himself who called him and revealed his role to him, which Cena compares to debuting in the main event of WrestleMania.
He said, “He [Vin Diesel] called me later on and said actually what I was doing. Which is, being the brother of Dom Toretto. If you’re a fan of the universe, that’s like your first match being in the main event of WrestleMania. So I was really really excited about that.”

What Vin Diesel means to the 16-time WWE World Champion
Jimmy Fallon then asked Cena if he bonded with Vin Diesel. The ‘Champ‘ immediately said, “We did. He’s a wonderful human being. And man, his decision has changed my life. Not only that, the camaraderie and the family on the ‘Fast’ set is real. Everybody spends time with everybody.”
Cena continued, “They’ve become like a family and it was so welcoming and awesome. There was some good quality bonding.”

It’s great to see John Cena break the ice and become a part of such a wonderful film franchise. We’re sure Vin Diesel must’ve loved John Cena’s personality when they met. And hence, he offered him such an important role.
