Friday Nights SmackDown’s newest recruit, Aleister Black, spoke about his ambition to work with Universal Champion Roman Reigns. ‘The Big Dog’ is currently the best character in the business and everyone wants to work with him.
In an exclusive interview with Sports Illustrated, Black was all praise for Reigns. He also claimed The Universal Champion was on his agenda on SmackDown.
“Those are two things I would absolutely want to do. For Roman, I feel like this is the best work he’s ever done. Roman is in that super rare spot where he is so comfortable in the role that his confidence is Level 1000. “

‘The Tribal Chief’ character that Reigns is playing looks very natural on him owing to his Samoan roots.
When Aleister Black was asked about the Universal Champion’s character development till now, Black felt Reigns wasn’t even acting. Here is what the former NXT Champion had to say about Reigns being so natural.
“Everything is presented in a way that is super organic, it makes you think he’s not even playing a character. To be honest, I don’t think he is playing a character. I think this is playing to every strength of Roman Reigns, of which there are a lot.”

Aleister Black confronted Paul Heyman to work with Roman Reigns
If one doesn’t know yet, Paul Heyman is now closely associated with Roman Reigns on screen. However, off-screen, it is rumored that Heyman has been excellent friends with Reigns’ family since he started in the business.

Hence if one wants to work with Roman Reigns, convincing Paul Heyman can be a brilliant idea. This is what exactly Black thought of.

He said, “I’d love to be entangled with Roman and Paul, and I’ve spoken with Paul about this before. There are a lot of things that move the different pieces on that chessboard, getting me to checkmates, and that’s one of them.”
