In 2014, CM Punk had a controversial ending with WWE. Because of some differences, he walked out of the company. And he didn’t look back ever since until now. Recently, social media erupted with the news of him appearing backstage at Monday NightRAW after almost a decade.

‘The Second-City Savior’ and WWE don’t see eye to eye. So this news came as a shock to everyone. As per the reports, he met with Triple H, The Miz, and a few other talents during his visit. He immediately left the arena after Vince McMahon asked him to do so.

That being said, Booker T recently gave an insight into what he thinks of the entire situation.

CM Punk pulled out a publicity stunt, says Booker T

Recently speaking during his Hall of Fame podcast, ‘King Booker’ spoke about what he thinks is the probable reason for Punk’s surprise visit to the WWE arena this Monday. At first, he was not ready to believe the news and deemed it as mere gossip. But when Brad Gilmore, a radio personality, read several trusted reports, it convinced him a little.

Booker said that it might be a tactic to start a war between the two companies, his former employer WWE and his now-employer, AEW. “This might be his Brian Pillman moment, you know? ‘I’m going to work the companies against each other,” he elucidated.

He used the former WCW Light Heavyweight Champion as an example to make his point clear.
