Despite being a fan of Triple H’s outside-of-the-box creative direction, the Intercontinental champion believes HHH couldn’t replace the boss.
While speaking to Gorilla Position, Zayn gave McMahon his due credit noting, ‘‘In some respects, 100%. In some respects, he’s still the boss at the end of the day. When it comes to how you do whatever you’re going to do, there’s definitely a lot more freedom. Look, Vince [McMahon] definitely had his way about things, and it was successful… People can turn around in hindsight, point the finger, and say this and that…. but there was a reason for his formula, boxes, like we were working in a box, there’s no question about that, but those boxes get built because of success. ”

Zayn’s take on the matter stems from his reasoning that a highly successful entrepreneur’s success needn’t vanish despite his controversies. And his reasoning is sound as Vince McMahon changed the landscape of pro wrestling to pave the way forward.

After succeeding his father in the family business back in 1982, Vince McMahon played the guardian angel of the company. He turned a mediocre league (WWF) into a global entertainment giant. After changing it to World Wrestling Entertainment in 2002, McMahon took it to the level of crossing the billion-dollar mark in annual sales and penning multiple high-stake deals.

The path was quite explorative. McMahon rightly utilized his business savvy to bring forward numerous enchanting matches and added to the glitz and glamor quotient to increase the brand value. He kick-started the Pay-per-view trend of today to keep fans hooked on the product.
