WWE Hall of Famer and Olympics gold medalist, Kurt Angle recently revealed the sweet relation he shared with Paul Wight aka The Big Show during his time in WWE.

The two wrestlers feuded quite a few times, with their most notable fight was at the Armageddon pay-per-view back in 2002 for the WWE Championship where Kurt Angle won with an unasked help from Brock Lesnar.

In a recent episode from his podcast The Kurt Angle Show, Angle was asked about who was his on-road partner that he’d love to travel with, Angle without a delay said that it was Paul Wight who he preferred traveling with because of his larger-than-life persona.

“The guy drove the whole time. He was a monster. I never had to drive. He’d pay for the gas. Pay for the rental car and most of the time he paid for my food. He was so generous. He’s one of my best friends but he was awesome to travel with. I didn’t have to lift a finger. All I had to do was. I could just fall asleep or listen to music. It was awesome.” Kurt Angle expressed.

In the same interview, Angle stated how much both the wrestlers respected each other back in their working days. Surely Angle enjoyed working with Paul Wight because of their in-ring chemistry. Both of them had some great feuds and put on some great matches together. Angle also stated that he is the nicest guy he ever met.

“Even though he’s a couple years younger than me, he was more like a father figure. He was like your grandpa. You listened to him; he had great advice, he took care of you; he drove you around, made sure you’re okay. A very caring individual, for as big and bada** as he is. He’s one of the nicest guys in the world, just incredibly generous.” Angle concluded.

The respect that Angle showed towards Paul is the reason why the giant wrestler is respected worldwide. His recent signing with AEW is quite evident in this matter, the 49-year-old wrestler is yet to make his in-ring return but the AEW management has hinted over his return in the future.
