Over the years, several WWE superstars have cemented their legacy as legends. One of these names is Triple H, a fourteen-time World Champion, and a two-time Royal Rumble winner.

While we could consider him one of the greatest, WWE legend Bret Hart doesn’t seem to think so.

According to Bret Hart, Triple H does not deserve the tag of ‘one of the greats’. Although he belonged to the same era as The Rock, Steve Austin and the Undertaker, the Game was never considered an Attitude Era legend.

In an interview with WrestleTalk, Bret Hart gave his honest opinion on Triple H.

“Triple H was always a good wrestler, but great? I don’t know. What, he’s a thousand time World Champion now? I don’t know, how great really is he? But you see, this talent out there sometimes, and then you look at someone like Triple H.

“When I look at him, he’s always had a good look as far as his body went. He always had a pretty muscular physique. I don’t know how much of that is natural, but you look at someone like Hunter and you go, ‘what has he ever really done?’

“Like one move that he created that no one ever saw before? Some high spots or an idea for a match? I don’t know what he ever brought to the table. He’s mostly a guy that showed up and they’ve made him; he’s always been a decent wrestler, but great? I don’t know; I don’t think so.”

Hart also felt like Triple H shouldn’t be able to tell wrestlers what to do, as he has done nothing. He also believed the Game never had a great match in WWE.

Despite wrestling some of the greatest names in the industry, Bret thinks Triple H never had a great match in his entire WWE career. He even criticized the WrestleMania classic between Undertaker and the Game.

“He’s never had a great match. Whenever I look at Triple H’s matches, including the last one he had with Undertaker, and I don’t mean it as a knock, but I told myself before I watched it because I’m trying to like; now these days I want him to see him do something to make me think ‘yeah, he’s got greatness in him’.”

“I thought it was mediocre at best and maybe a four out of ten or three out of ten. I don’t know, I don’t want to say but I think Paul is a little overrated. He’s overrated for being great, but I can’t sit here and tell you that I can name one match that I ever thought he ever had with anybody that was great.”
