Shawn Michaels is one of the most veteran performers still active in the wrestling and WWE scene. It is important to have figures like him around to act as a guiding light for the newer wrestlers. Former WWE star opened up about Michaels and how he played a crucial role in NXT UK.

In an interview with EssentiallySports Rohan Raja revealed how Shawn Michaels has involved himself with NXT UK. Raja said that he has immersed himself into it and he is looking after the franchise as if it were his baby. This involvement on Michaels’s part really nurtured the franchise well.

Raja was all praises for Michaels. Impressed with his acumen for the sport and his dedication and work ethic, Michaels put all of it into something he really believed in. Even his tag team partners are a brainchild of Michaels.

Raja was a member of Die Family, which also included Teoman and Charlie Dempsey, while it was a part of NXT UK. Raja claimed Shawn Michaels had the idea for the group. He first didn’t think he would get along with Teoman, but the three artists eventually grew close.

“If you listen to some of his interviews, and he would tell all of us multiple times that NXT, UK was his baby. Like, he loved it. And he was so heavily involved in it. And I feel like that’s what when you watch the brand. You can kind of feel that because there’s someone in such a high position that cares about it. That he was so involved in everything, and all of his ideas is just, it’s something that I’ve never witnessed before,” said Raja. “And you’re like, Man, this guy is like, just, he’s just too smart,” he added.

Since Triple H experienced a cardiac incident in September last year, Michaels has been in charge of NXT 2.0’s backstage operations. Before that, the WWE Hall of Famer was a producer and director for NXT UK.
