John Cena is one of the most popular faces in the wrestling world. While he is one of the most prolific wrestlers from the audience’s perspective, it’s not the same with his fellow wrestlers backstage. Many wrestlers from the Attitude Era to the Ruthless Aggression Era have complained about Cena after leaving WWE. During those times in WWE, Cena was on a high, where he was winning with the fans and the management.

But like everything that goes up, Cena also came down. When his appearances started becoming monotonous, his fans were left disappointed at him in favor of other wrestlers. When he wanted to try out Hollywood, the management let him go free and we have not since seen him wrestling in the ring. While things could change next year, this ex-WWE superstar would surely give warnings to anyone working with Cena.

I remember at the Elimination Chamber I felt like I was in a real shoot fight. It’s not that he’s bad, he just gets really fired up, and he’s got big hands. He doesn’t realize his own strength.

Lesnar and Angle had left the company. So did The Rock and Steve Austin, which was a major blow to the company. During this time, Cena was boosted straight to the top, and he stayed there for a long time.

This developed a sort of blandness in the WWE product during that time. Also, Cena considered himself the messiah of the company and developed an ego. It wasn’t until wrestlers like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan showed their excellence that Cena was humbled.
