Dominik Mysterio has been a part of the WWE since his childhood. As a minor, he was projected in a storyline as a subject for the feud between his father Rey Mysterio and late superstar Eddie Guerrero. Over the years, Dom Dom began appearing ringside to watch his father put on scintillating displays until he decided to train as a wrestler himself.
Dominik made his main roster debut in WWE in 2020, but struggled to hold his own for two years before turning heel. Once he betrayed his father and joined hands with The Judgement Day, Rey Mysterio’s son has witnessed a sharp growth. Both in terms of his in-ring involvement and his character development. Dominik’s rise hasn’t evaded a former rival of his father, who, while praising the 26-year-old, has cautioned him about the industry.

The Judgement Day member has managed to impress Booker T with his recent gig. Speaking about his fellow Hall of Famer’s son, King Booker reckoned the next generation superstar will make a lot of money. The 6x World Champion, however, asked Dominik to be careful as he walks into the footsteps of his legendary father.
“Like I said, he’s a kid that’s got a bright, bright future. All he gotta do is just keep his ears open, keep his eyes open. Understand what this thing is about, he’s going to make a lot of money and step into those shoes of Rey Mysterio and those are big shoes to fill,” Booker T said during the recent episode of his Hall of Fame podcast.
Rey Mysterio played a massive part in Booker T’s WWE career as the two feuded for a year, which ultimately led to the latter winning his first world championship in Vince McMahon’s company. At The Great American Bash, Rey Mysterio locked horns with Booker T, dropping the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to the NXT commentator.
King Booker also praised Rey Mysterio for doing a “hell of a job bringing this kid [Dominik] up”.
Meanwhile, Dominik Mysterio’s feud with The Biggest Little Man might get a little intense in the next few weeks.
Rey Mysterio is likely to pitch stipulation match against Dominik Mysterio
After being humiliated repeatedly by his son, The Ultimate Underdog avenged it on the biggest stage as he used his belt to whoop a rogue Dominik. At WrestleMania 39, Rey Mysterio pinned his son to pick up a win in a unique match featuring a real-life father and son.
While that would have settled the debate, the Hall of Famer is far from letting it rest. Now, Rey has opened up on his interest in having a Mask vs. Hair match against his son.
“Maybe I put my mask on the line against his hair, which is some Lucha culture, and if I lose, I take my mask off and if he loses, he shaves his hair off. That might be interesting,” Rey told Logan Paul on his ‘Impaulsive’ podcast.
