The pro-wrestling world has witnessed some insane talent over the past few years. In the world of women’s wrestling, the Four Horsewomen have built the industry entirely around themselves. However, one indie talent proved to the world why she’s one of the best, simply for her risk-taking ability: Candice LeRae.
How good is Candice LeRae?

Competing in promotions like PWG, DDT, CZW and, of course, in WWE, LeRae has a very impressive resume. However, aside from her risk-taking ability that puts her in the same category as Jeff Hardy, she’s a brilliant pro wrestler.
Upon debuting in NXT in 2017, LeRae played the petite babyface role against heels like Shayna Baszler and Rhea Ripley. However, she settled well into the evil pixie role alongside her husband, Johnny Gargano.
What sets her apart from the rest of the division is how good she was on the independent scene. She teamed up with wrestling icons, from Tyler Black [Seth Rollins], Claudio Castagnoli [Cesaro] and, of course, Kevin Owens.
She even faced several of WWE’s top talent in the ring during her pre-WWE days. LeRae has wrestled her husband Johnny Gargano, Adam Cole, Ethan Page, Joey Ryan, the Young Bucks from the above video, and eaten a devastating amount of Lumbar Check’s from Cedric Alexander.
Will her willingness to do extreme spots carry her to the top of WWE?
In the past few years, we’ve seen Candice LeRae do some extraordinary things in an NXT ring. She’s gone toe-to-toe with the likes of Io Shirai, Rhea Ripley, Raquel Gonzalez, Shayna Baszler and many more, but she’s never backed down from a challenge.
Like her fellow NXT compatriot Shotzi Blackheart, she’s a huge risk-taker and will perform moves ordinary wrestlers wouldn’t dream of. From a smooth suicide dive to a stunning poison-rana, she can do it all. But the question remains: why hasn’t NXT pushed her to the top?
LeRae has been a tremendous foil for the past year, at least up till she turned heel. Alongside the Way, LeRae has become one of WWE’s most entertaining acts, and it translated into tag team gold at NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver.
She has attempted to beat Io Shirai for the NXT Women’s Title and came within a whisker, but Shirai outclassed her repeatedly.

Her ‘never say die’ attitude reminds us of her husband’s stubbornness and the attributes that made him a phenomenal talent. So, will we see the Poison Pixie hold titles on the main roster, or will her extreme wrestling talent remain an afterthought?
