Becky Lynch’s surprise pregnancy announcement has sent ripples through the WWE. The Man had her hands around the belt for a record-setting 498 days, since her win in Wrestlemania 35. The relinquishment of the RAW Women’s Championship doesn’t just mean that there is a new champ in town, rather, it means that the hunt for the next face of WWE is on. Flair has amassed an incredible talent for putting on an amazing show. Since her days in NXT, Charlotte has managed to compete at the highest level, making her a perfect choice. She has held both Smackdown and RAW Women’s Championships and is now the NXT Women’s Champion. Flair has an amazing and likable personality (even as a heel) and is extremely charismatic on stage. During the past 7 years, the women’s division in WWE has been reformed to a large extent. What was once a throwaway division, with no real competition or storylines, has now become massive. Competitive, athletic superstars, intriguing and intertwined storylines and likable, marketable characters are now everywhere within the Women’s division. This resurgence has not gone unnoticed. Under the control of superstars like Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and of course Flair, the division has become more interesting than ever. So much so, that the main event of Wrestlemania 35 was the first all-women main event in Wrestlemania history. This shows that the fans love the division more than they ever have, making it a perfect time to find a new face.

Flair had competed for the RAW Women’s Championship at Wrestlemania 35, against Lynch and Rousey. Seeing how both the superstars have left the organization, a new door may just open, and we may see Charlotte Flair as Champion once again.
