Trish Stratus has been parading around in recent weeks that she played a significant part in the Women’s Revolution that changed the landscape of the WWE. But many fans surely remember the early beginnings of the former WWE Diva of the Decade. Was Trish Status always the skilled in-ring worker of the WWE women’s division? The answer probably brings back a lot of memories about Stratus’ start in the global juggernaut.
However, the ghosts of Trish’s past emerged after a fellow WWE Hall of Famer dug them up. The former superstar didn’t mince words as she took shots at Stratus’ legitimacy and role in paving the way for women in wrestling. The WWE universe didn’t take kindly to the comments and rose up to defend Stratus.

Many have credited the 7-time WWE Women’s champion as a pioneer for women in wrestling. However, the fans have witnessed a drastic change in Trish Stratus’ attitude on WWE TV recently. She has made bold claims for being the only G.O.A.T in WWE who made women’s wrestling relevant during her heyday.
But it looks like another WWE Hall of Famer seems to be in massive disagreement with that statement. That legend is another revolutionary and former WWE Women’s champion, Madusa. She recently called out Trish Stratus on Twitter for making women a side attraction. According to her, Trish paved the way for a blueprint that showcased women as mere glamor quotient and not in-ring performers.
“Trish has set the women back and turned them into a sideshow after all the work I did to get the women respected and legitimize them as the superstars that they are. “
Madusa’s statement invited comments from supposed Trish Stratus fans. They did not seem to take it too kindly, blasting Madusa and defending their hero’s contributions to the business.
You abandoned women’s wrestling. Your time for redemption been over granny. You’ll never have the success that she’s had and will continue to have let that sink in slowly.

Moreover, some fans did not even shy away from detracting Madusa over the most iconic moment of her career.
you literally did NOTHING to impact women’s wrestling, the only thing you’re known for is throwing that title in the trash. trish is an icon and legend and so are the bellas, they’ve inspired so many women to get into wrestling and many up and coming women in nxt

But what exactly did the Madusa mean with her statements lambasting Stratus?
Women did not get the opportunities they have today during Trish’s era
Madusa’s insult toward Trish Stratus was a direct reference to her early start. During the early 2000s, WWE brought in Trish as the mesmerizing valet of T&A. She captivated the audience with her beauty and personality. Furthermore, Stratus got the honor of being involved in a storyline with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.
They portrayed Trish as McMahon’s close associate. The duo was involved in some of the most memorable segments that worked well during the non-PG WWE era. But Trish took her craft more seriously after that and went on to become a highly accomplished competitor. She won multiple championships, accolades, and shattered glass ceilings that built the early foundations of the Women’s Revolution.
