Finally! For the first time since the violent incident, the WWE legend appeared and offered the eagerly awaiting fans—who had been waiting for it for a week—an update. For those who don’t know, during a recent edition of NXT, WWE veteran R Truth made his return as a special guest after a lengthy hiatus from television. Subsequently, he was so severely injured during his match against Grayson Waller that he was unable to finish it and had to leave the match in the midst.

Meanwhile, a week later, the 50-year-old celebrity revealed his injury and offered an update on it in a video with his wife for the first time. Watch the video below to know more:

R-Truth stated, “Hey wassup!! Aye yo!! First, off I wanna thank each and every one of y’all for your concern, your get well’s, your prayers, and your support. Yes, unfortunately, I got hurt; I did tear my quad tendon and now I’m at the surgery with my wife right there. I’m going in, so yeah, it is what it is. Right? Y’all know I’ll be back. I want to thank you without you ain’t no me. So let’s get in and handle the business and I’ll be back before y’all know it.”

During his match, R-Truth crashed to the ground severely after charging in and trying to dive, but failing to do so because Waller was just slightly in front of him, tearing his quad tendon. Meanwhile, fans are hoping that he recovers soon.

Fans prayed and showered R Truth with love and support

One fan responded to the update by saying that R Truth is in his prayers and that he wishes for a quick recovery.

One supporter wished him to get better quickly.

“R-Truth is a national treasure,” as per one fan.

One supporter, meanwhile, remarked that R Truth would go down as one of the best performers of all time and that he cannot wait to see him return.

He is still competing at age 50, according to a fan, who also referred to him as one of the toughest and most endearing athletes in the industry.

The injury seems to be rather severe, and he had to have surgery, which will take some time. Meanwhile, all eyes will be on him for his upcoming update, and fans do want him to return as soon as possible.
