She defeated Ronda Rousey last year to win the championship for the 14th time.

Flair recently attended the 65th running of the Daytona 500 as an honorary race official. Before the ‘Great American Race’, Charlotte spoke to the media. During the press conference, a reporter from ‘The Dayton Beach News-Journal’ raised the question about Ric Flair being mad at her.

The WWE star mentioned in her recent interview with ‘New York Post’ that her father Ric Flair didn’t know about her SmackDown return and he left before she performed inside the ring as he was mad at her.

Charlotte explained why her father was mad at her

Before the big ‘Great American Race’, the reporter asked Charlotte Flair about that incident and its day after consequences.

To this, the ‘Queen’ replied that it’s true that her father was angry when he came to know about her return from former SmackDown women’s champion Ronda Rousey. Charlotte mentioned that the WWE legend didn’t even text her. It was Ronda who texted Charlotte and made her aware of the whole situation.

While speaking to the press, Charlotte Flair said, “Yeah, he was mad. Ronda saw him in the hallway and said, ‘I’m going to see Charlotte.’ My dad was like, ‘What?’ He didn’t even text me. Then Ronda did and said, ‘He didn’t even know you were here?’ I gasped and said, “Ugh, he’s going to be so mad.”

The SmackDown women’s champion further said that the only reason she didn’t tell Ric about her return was that she wanted it to be a surprise for him. But ‘The Nature Boy’ misinterpreted it and things didn’t end well.
