While we have heard a lot of wrestlers nod at The Undertaker as their inspiration and others make it obvious through their character work, it is rare for them to open up about his advice. Ex-WWE star opens up about advice from The Undertaker

“After a few years, I thought I knew. Now I understand what he was talking about and I’m lucky that I can be in a position where I can take that advice and apply it. So now where I’m at I gotta be selfish for the right reasons, meaning you are your own business. Rene Dupree is my business, so I gotta be selfish for me.”

Direct advice from The Undertaker is something any wrestler would cherish for the rest of their lives. The same thing that Dupree did and now he is in an influential position as he talked about in the interview. When a 30-year-old veteran tells you something, you keep that advice tight in your heart and follow it throughout. And someone like Taker, who has seen the ups and downs of not only his own career but the biggest company in the industry also, is a great insight into the industry.
