The rivalry between WWE and AEW has been something that rivals WCW and WWE. AEW has been taking in all the stars released by the WWE. This is now a trend for stars leaving the WWE.
When it comes to WWE stars heading to AEW, there have been a ton of them. However, the opposite hasn’t happened as much. Only Jade Cargill has been the marquee signing that has headed over to the WWE. While the rival company has a plethora of names that could make it big in the WWE, the current one in everyone’s mouth is MJF.
This was the question asked to Rhodes while on the YESNetwork’s The Michael Kay Show. Rhodes began with the line, “I think one day you will see MJF in the WWE.” Straight off the bat, Rhodes was onboard with the idea of the AEW star making the transition someday.
He continued, “One thing I’m proud of him doing is, if you notice, he’s put on a lot of muscle safely over the last year and a half.” Rhodes explained that if he did make it to the WWE, he would have to face men like Brock Lesnar and Drew McIntyre, who are big guys. Lastly, he said, “Watching him grow physically, it seems like he knows where his future lies.”

How MJF could have a successful career in the WWE
After Rhodes clarified his thoughts regarding MJF, fans have debated how MJF could have a successful run. The WWE has returned stars from other promotions while letting them have their gimmick.
The best example is Matt Hardy, who perfected his ‘Broken’ gimmick. When he returned to the WWE, he continued the gimmick. This could work for MJF, who could play the star from the secondary promotion and try to climb the ranks of Vince’s Playground.
