John Cena has overseen a long and rewarding career in the WWE. He has come a long way from the rookie wrestler who dared legend Kurt Angle in 2002, so much so that the words he uttered that night marked the beginning of the Ruthless Aggression Era in the Stamford-based promotion.

Needless to say, Cena dominated in the squared circle during that period. He portrayed the gimmick of the perennial babyface to perfection. And it was the 16-time world champion’s devilish heel opponents that made it all the more intriguing. One such negative on-screen character recently talked at length about The Franchise Player. And how the latter once made up to him after injuring his ribs.

Former WWE superstar Gene Snitsky had a chat with Cheap Heat Productions recently. He largely praised Cena and recalled a heartwarming gesture by him. Snitsky said, “I only have one complaint with John he broke my ribs he broke my rib one time and you know I often have people at the shop you know hey how was Cena? You know blah blah and I’ll be like well other than breaking my rib he’s pretty awesome.”

“He broke my rib that sucked but other than that you know he made up for it though because he hooked me up with a pair of Under Armor sneakers back when he had his Under Armor contract so, I can’t say I’m bad about that,”added the former heel performer.

Ever the humble person, Cena made up for his error with a gift for Snitsky. It wouldn’t have lessened the pain but would have melted his heart.

The most notable concern for Cena has to be a torn pectoral muscle he suffered in 2007. Not so much for the injury but for the surprisingly early return to in-ring action in the 2008 Royal Rumble match made it a memorable moment. The Champ’s entrance at no. 30 at the iconic Madison Square Gardens is still fondly remembered by fans.

John Cena is well-regarded as the epitome of professionalism in the world of wrestling.
