It will be riveting to see the two power horses finally looking to settle their score in the squared circle after going back and forth for years.
That said, it seems their feud isn’t just limited to resolving their on-screen rivalry but also their real-life heat. At least it’s true from Punk’s side.

The Best in The World caught the entire wrestling fraternity off guard after making a jaw-dropping return at the WWE Survivor Series but little did he see coming that The Visionary was slyly watching from behind to wreak havoc. Rollins ruining Punk’s homecoming segment has become the talk of the town overnight.
But this wasn’t the very start of their animosity. Before WWE chose to put money into their official rivalry, Rollins threw shade at the Seventh City’ Saint. It went as far as the WWE world heavyweight champion labeling the former AEW star as cancer while warning him to stay away from the business.
Since then, we have seen the World Heavyweight champion dragging Punk up in his discussion for nothing. Now, appearing on the debut episode of Jackie Redmond’s NHL Show, the Chicago-based star called it pure hatred.
He noted, ‘‘We’re very similar. The difference is, I can talk about my career & not have to mention him. He can’t talk about his career without mentioning me. I understand where he’s coming from. You know, I understand.”

Explaining how he tried to go gentle on Rollins but couldn’t get the reciprocation, the WWE star further noted, I think he’s always felt like he was the little brother. I’ve never tried to treat him that way. I’ve always tried to treat him like a peer but some people you just can’t reach. He hates me. He hates me, like Colorado Avalanche & Red Wings.

CM Punk and Seth Rollins had a unique sync in their career timeline. They both were notable stars in their Ring of Honor tenure before kick-starting a staggering WWE stint. Punk became the ROH world champion and already established himself as one of the biggest and brightest names in the independent scene after joining the force in 2005. He also went on to become a two-time WWE champion and three-time world heavyweight champion.
So, when Rollins followed in his footsteps, dipping his feet into WWE five years later, Punk was one step ahead. However, The Visionary’s epic rise to world championship status only came after Punk had left his place and made a place for him. There has been no going back for Seth Rollins since then.
