The Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle has had a lot of success in professional wrestling. Not only is he a WWE Hall of Famer, but he is also a 13-time World Champion. Kurt Angle quickly rose into Vince McMahon’s WWE because of his solid character and in-ring capability.
In addition, Angle has also explored another wrestling promotion. The Olympic hero left WWE to join the rival wrestling company TNA in 2006. During Angle’s TNA stint, he met a few of the current and former WWE superstars.
For instance, the WWE Hall of Famer encountered one-half of the iconic Hardy Boyz tag team, Jeff Hardy, in TNA (now Impact Wrestling).

Why did Kurt Angle tell WWE legend Jeff Hardy to slow down?
The WWE Hall of Famer sat down with Paul Bromwell on the latest edition of The Kurt Angle Show. Angle and Jeff Hardy, in the rival company, had a healthy feud inside the squared circle.
A force to be reckoned with, Jeff Hardy is best known for his insane high-flying moves and the infamous Swanton Bomb finisher. The co-host asked Kurt Angle if he ever talked to Jeff about his high-flying maneuver.
Angle said, “I told him he needs to tone it down. I told him that at house shows and some of the TVs, don’t use all your stuff. Save it for the pay-per-views and the big TVs, the important TVs. Because you only have one body, and if you bang it up too much. You’re not going to be able to perform anymore.”
Hardy used to put his body at risk by jumping off the top rope and sometimes even from the top of the cage. Hence, the Olympic Gold Medalist told Hardy not to use the finisher every time; instead, to use it carefully as required.

While Jeff Hardy’s Swanton Bomb was a sight to behold, the risk of causing himself long-term injuries could not be ignored.
Why did Jeff Hardy enjoy performing high-flying maneuvers?
Kurt Angle believes that Jeff Hardy’s body has taken bumps beyond his limits, which is appreciable too. The 13-time World Champion explained to one-half of The Hardy Boyz team that he needs to tone down the Swanton Bomb if he needs a long pro wrestling career. Angle also told Jeff that he could have fun with the audience instead of putting himself in harm’s way at every house show.
“Jeff always did crazy stuff. And he never let his fans down, even at house shows. He was doing the Swanton from the top rope; he was diving over the top rope outside of the ring. He always put his body in jeopardy no matter what kind of show it was,” Kurt Angle added.
