Rhea Ripley has been the talk of the town around WWE for quite some time. The Judgement Day member has come into her own since last year and won the Women’s Royal Rumble match this year in an impressive showing. Although she decided to go after the SmackDown Women’s title and Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39, there is one WWE legend who also wants to get into the ring with Mami.

Veteran WWE star Madusa has been away from the ring since 2018. The former truck driver has her last WWE match back in 2018, where she competed in the 20 women battle royal during WWE all-female Evolution Pay per view.
The Italian-American superstar retired from professional wrestling in 2001. But as we know retirement is never a constraint against further in-ring appearance as far as WWE is concerned, Madusa occasionally stepped into the WWE programs several times since then. Currently, the former WWE Hall of Fame Alundra Blayze is hoping for a last match against Rhea Ripley.
Madusa chooses Rhea Ripley as her preferred opponent
While speaking to a recent interview with PW Mania, the Helen of the Monday Wars spoke about how she wanted to make her retirement match something special in order to make it memorable. She also highlighted that wrestling is not something that she took casually.
While the host further asked about the potential opponent Madusa wanted to wrestle against, she took no time in taking the name of current WWE sensation, Rhea Ripley.

Praising the 30 years younger wrestling lady with whom she already had an interaction regarding the match, Madusa noted, ‘I already called her out. And I was walking past the makeup room whenever I was there for Raw XXX and I walked by I said, “yo girl looking good.” Then I came back and stuck my head and I said, “you’d probably be a pretty good retirement match.” She’s like, “Oh my God. That’s such an honor.” She’s so funny. She’s a wonderful girl, though. Woman. Just amazing. I just say girl or kid because probably like 30 years younger than I am. You know?’
Madusa confirmed the possible timeline of her last big match
As the interview progressed, the 59-year-old former Hall of Famer also reflected on how she was still ready for the game even in her 60s. But the veteran lady also made it clear that she will have her final match within one or two years. If WWE will take longer to arrange that, it is possible time may run out on her.

However, we will wait to see the two-generation superstars, Madusa and Rhea Ripley, on the same stage of WWE someday in the future. Meanwhile, the latter is gearing up for her big WrestleMania title match against Charlotte Flair at the upcoming WrestleMania 39.
