On WrestleMania 39, Bad Bunny helped Rey Mysterio to get a one-up over his son Dominik Mysterio by not letting the latter use a steel chain to win the match. This moment led to the souring of his relationship with his former friend Damian Priest, who is the stable mate of ‘Dom-Dom’.
On May 6, Bunny went one on one against Priest in a San Juan Street Fight match at WWE Backlash to settle their short-lived rivalry. Despite not having a wrestling background, he put up a hell of a fight against his opponent and even defeated him.
The entire pro wrestling world congratulated him on his victory. Talking about the match, former WWE NXT star Mark Andrews recently heaped praise for his amazing performance at WWE Backlash.

Mark Andrews expresses awe of Bad Bunny’s physique
While speaking on JMTV EP 4, Andrews confessed he didn’t know about the 29-year-old music artist before his WWE appearances. But when he showed up in the Stamford-based promotion, it quite impressed him, seeing his massive size and physical stature.
He said, “I only knew of Bad Bunny through him showing up at WWE. And it was only afterwards where I was like ‘S**t, this guy is f**king huge.’ [He’s a] natural in the ring as well. You can tell he cares. He really likes wrestling.” He also lauded him for his wrestling prowess.
He expressed his appreciation for the Puerto Rican’s love and dedication to the pro wrestling business. Plus, he confessed it makes him happy to see him committed to pro wrestling, just like other superstars from different backgrounds.
Andrews admires Bunny’s commitment to wrestling
Andrews also mentioned that seeing Bunny’s investment in giving his 100% to WWE makes him feel happy as a pro wrestler. He said, “He’s not in there for an easy payday. He’s not in there for a quick appearance. And there’s been a few celebrities recently who’ve been the same like him, Logan Paul, Johnny Knoxville.”

“They’ve all committed to it. They didn’t come in for a quick buck. It’s been really nice to see, to be honest,” he added. Benito’s Backlash match was so epic that the WWE Universe talked about it for quite a while on the internet. But his outstanding performance was not the only thing that made the match so special.
He and Priest were already tearing the house down during the match. But appearances from WWE legends, Carlito and Savio Vega added the cherry on top of the cake. Toward the end of the match, Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio came to aid their stablemate to tip the scales in his favor.
