With Uncle Howdy alongside Wyatt Sicks finally debuting, the narrative has quickly shifted from the unbridled excitement and anticipation over the return to what can be their direction in the division going forward. On the June 17th edition of Raw, after Jey Uso won the match over Finn Balor and Rey Mysterio and made his way to the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match 2024, the real essence of the show was unveiled.
The long-teased massacre took over the world and some renowned wrestlers, as well. And the former Intercontinental Champion Gunther seems to be the most unpredicted part of the searing narrative.

In an ill-lit segment, Nikki Cross loomed large, with Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, and Uncle Howdy following suit in their respective spooky-esque attire. But the sight that sent chills down the spine was a series of bodies laid out backstage. While Chad Gable and Braun Strowman were visibly among the piles of bodies, a glimpse of The Ring General was seemingly spotted by keen-eyed fans in a viral video clip.
Dave LaGreca from ‘Busted Open’ stretched on the angle with further explanation. ”People, I mean Braun Strowman, was laid out. Now I didn’t see it, but people were saying on social media, that I missed it, but that Gunther was laid out. Chad Gable looked like he was gone. Like he was a bloody mess. We saw production people a bloody mess in the back,” he noted, specifying Gunther’s rumored involvement in Wyatt 6.

However, it’s safe to say that it’s still not confirmed that Howdy attacked The Ring General on Raw. Fans wouldn’t be very happy if this comes true, as the 36-year-old has something big to do in the individual title picture.

Gunther suffered in WrestleMania 40 as Sami Zayn took home the coveted Intercontinental title breaking the former’s dominant 666 days reign. The Ring General wiped out many bigwigs like Shinsuke Nakamura, Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre, and Sheamus from the title picture to claim his concentric sway, but came up short in front of the Generic Luchador on the grandest stage. However, Gunther’s story is not finished yet.
Bully Ray believes he has a lot to do with the World Heavyweight Championship. While Priest is doing a good job with it, Gunther will eventually put the belt around his waist if given a proper push.
