This go-home edition of WWE Monday Night RAW saw Gunther face Jey Uso, Iyo Sky take on Lyra Valkyrie, and Sami Zayn face Chad Gable in a singles match. With five days remaining for the King & Queen of the Ring PLE in Saudi Arabia, the semi-finals for the tournament kicked off. Drew McIntyre showed up backstage to move forward with his feud with Damian Priest and much more. Here are the results for WWE RAW.

WWE RAW 20/05/2024 Results

In-ring segment: The show opened with Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn. He addressed his triple-threat match in 5 days at King & Queen of the Ring PLE in Saudi Arabia. He talked about the stipulation of a triple threat, where he didn’t need to get pinned to lose. The promo was cut short as Alpha Academy came out. Chad Gable took a moment to insult his team members before addressing Zayn. The Intercontinental Champ asked the members of the Alpha Academy why they tolerated Gable before kicking off their singles match.

Chad Gable vs. Sami Zayn

Winner: Chad Gable

As the match kicked off, Gable took the upper hand over the IC Champ. While distracting the referee, Gable wanted the members of the Alpha Academy to aid him, but none did. Before the commercial, the Uncle Howdy QR code flashed on the screen. Despite not attacking Zayn on the outside, Otis attacked him while the referee wasn’t looking. Gable took advantage of the Chaos Theory for the win.

Backstage segment: Alpha Academy was about to be interviewed about the match with Zayn when a loud crash was heard. Upon checking, it was revealed that Joaquin Wilde of LWO had been attacked.

Video package: Iyo Sky’s hype package was shown before her match.

Bron Breakker vs. Kale Dixon

Winner: The match was stopped by the referee

What was supposed to be another squash match for Breakker ended way differently. After a spear by Breakker, the referee called off the match. It seemed like Dixon was injured, but Breakker hit him with another spear and destroyed the young wrestler with a steel chair.

Backstage segment: Dixon was seen being sent away in an ambulance

Backstage segment: Before heading out, Valkyria met Becky Lynch. The WWE Women’s World Champion wished her the best for her match.

WWE Queen of the Ring tournament semifinal match: Iyo Sky vs. Lyra Valkyria

Winner: Lyra Valkyria

The first long match of the night saw both women lay it all in the ring to win a spot in the finals. While Sky kept the pressure on Valkyria, the former NXT Women’s Champ prevented her from hitting the top rope. After multiple near falls, Valkyria was able to get the pin. She will be facing the winner of Nia Jax vs. Bianca Belair at the Saudi Arabia PLE.

Post-match: Jackie Redmond interviewed Valkyria after her victory and congratulated her.

Backstage segment: R-truth told The Miz he employed a giant to watch their back during their match with Judgment Day.

Backstage segment: IIja Dragunov was seen backstage being interviewed before being interrupted by Ricochet. However, the WWE Speed champion was taken out by Breakker.

Backstage segment: Gunther cuts a promo for his match against Jey Uso in the night’s main event.

Backstage segment: The Judgment Day is seen preparing for their tag team titles match. Damian Priest tells them to bring the gold home, while Carlito asks for protection from the LWO.

WWE World Tag Team Championship match: The Awesome Truth vs. The Judgment Day

Winner: The Awesome Truth

The match started with The Miz and Finn Balor, but JD McDonagh got some cheap shots in. The chemistry between the members of Judgment Day proved a bit too much for The Awesome Truth. Even Dominik Mysterio got involved while the referee was distracted. However, R-Truth was able to take control of the match, only for Carlito to come out. Unfortunately, Braun Strowman also came out to aid The Awesome Truth, who won, retaining their title.

Backstage segment: Lynch celebrated with Valkyria backstage before Liv Morgan attacked her.

Backstage segment: Big Bronson Reed was seen talking to Zayn, who claimed that at the Saudi PLE, he will be walking out as the new Intercontinental Champion. Otis comes and tries to apologize for costing Zayn his match. Zayn tells him he’s a good guy.

In-ring segment: Becky Lynch came out to the ring and talked about Liv Morgan and her recent activities. Morgan also came out, and the two almost squared off in the ring before Morgan backed out.

Backstage segment: Xavier Woods had been medically cleared to perform.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s match: Damage CTRL vs. Ivy Nile and Maxxine Dupri vs. Kayden Carter and Katana Chance vs. Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark

Winners: Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler

The fatal four-way match showcased Maxxine Dupri’s improvement. The Alpha Academy star put away multiple women before being taken out by Baszler and Stark.

Backstage segment: Drew McIntyre was seen backstage and cut a promo on Priest and Jey Uso.

WWE King of the Ring tournament semifinal match: Gunther vs. Jey Uso

Winner: Gunther

The last semifinal match for the King of the Ring tournament on RAW saw The Ring General face off against Mr. Main Event. While Gunther initially had the upper hand, Jey Uso didn’t waste time regaining control. Unfortunately, Gunther was able to beat down Jey outside the ring. Furthermore, he targeted Uso’s arm throughout the match. The Main Event star had to use his left arm to keep Gunther down. The Ring General focused on Uso’s right arm, hoping he’d tap. At the end of the match, the referee was knocked down, resulting in The Uso missing a chance to win. Gunther locked in a sleeper hold for the win.
