In his feud against The American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes, The Rock has elevated SmackDown without even fighting. Taking to his Instagram, Johnson posted a story. It read, “Greatness is coming to Dallas; you’re not ready.” the story also allowed fans to book tickets for next week’s Friday Night SmackDown in Dallas. Fans are expecting Rhodes to accept or reject Johnson’s Tag Team match counter-offer on this upcoming Monday Night RAW. The next episode of SmackDown will deal with the fallout of this episode of RAW.

Both of The Rock’s promos on SmackDown were laced with condescension and mockery. He ridiculed the in-ring abilities of Cody Rhodes, the current Royal Rumble winner. Moreover, he questioned Rhodes’ legitimacy as a challenger to Roman Reigns’ Universal Championship. He mocked Rhodes’ story and what right he had to finish it facing Reigns. Furthermore, even went as far as to insult the intelligence of the audience. First, he called them “inbreds” and “drug addicts.” This led him to question their logic in supporting Rhodes.

This unexpected aggression ignited a cacophony of boos throughout the arena, marking a stark contrast to the usual cheers that accompanied his appearances. After acknowledging Reigns as his Tribal Chief during the last episode, the crowd turned to “You sold out” chants. However, none of this affected Johnson, who continued his heel run, siding with Reigns against Rhodes.

Anticipation reached a fever pitch as Johnson proposed a counteroff to Rhodes. After Rhodes challenged Johnson to a one-on-one match, Johnson countered with. The main event of Night #1 would feature Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Roman Reigns facing off against the team of Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
