During a recent episode of “The Kurt Angle Show”, Conrad Thompson and Angle discussed his infamous cage match with Late Chris Benoit. With so many dangerous spots in the match, Kurt revealed which one was the most dangerous for him.
“The German [suplex] spot is the most dangerous spot we did in that match. It might not look like it, but that’s the toughest one to take. Off the top rope, backward. Great chance you’re going to land on your head.”
“Probably 99 percent of the time you’re going to land on your head. So it’s one of those taking the chance moves that you do, that you don’t know if you’re going to get injured or not,” said Kurt.

Kurt Angle had to prove a point
Continuing the conversation, Angle also revealed that he and Benoit had to prove a point to “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Chris and Angle were upcoming talents and Austin was out there watching the match. Apparently, they were trying to impress Austin, but instead, they went too far and actually scared him away.
Both wrestlers were trying to show Austin that they wanted to work with him. But the crazy spots they did in the match made ‘The Texas Rattlesnake’ think those guys were crazy. Unfortunately for them, they didn’t get what they planned to achieve at the moment. However, fortunately, neither of the wrestlers was injured during the match.
