One of the biggest surprises at the 2024 Royal Rumble was when TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace walked through the ramp at number 5 and participated in the Rumble. As a result, she interacted with various WWE stars and she conveyed her awe at meeting one particular superstar.

There were some rumors that some TNA stars might appear in the 2024 PLE. Grace was accompanied by her TNA rival and former WWE star, Trinity Fatu a.k.a Naomi. While fans are still talking about that surreal moment, Grace opened up about how her career came full circle thanks to the Royal Rumble. Talking with Sean Ros Sapp of Fightful Select, Grace talked about her experience at the WWE backstage. She said, “I got to meet Rhea (Ripley) for the first time she’s so sweet and nice in person.” The TNA Champion also talked about an old friend of hers who is now working as an official at WWE. Grace expressed her gratitude for getting to meet them.

She said, ” The referee Aja Perera, we actually used to wrestle like 10 years ago together on the Georgia Indies.” After meeting Perera and Shotzi backstage, Grace felt as if things came to a “full circle.” She also credits seeing so many familiar faces for making her comfortable during her performance.

Fans expressed their admiration at seeing the TNA star perform in the Royal Rumble match. She established herself as a dominant force inside the ring as she survived the 2/3rd match before being eliminated by Bianca Belair.

A few backstage details have emerged after Jordynne Grace and Naomi made their cameos at the Royal Rumble. While it is reported that Naomi will be returning to SmackDown after almost two years, there are no updates on Grace’s position. However, reports suggest that people at WWE were blown away by her performance. While Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque might have not used the word Forbidden Door, he might have opened a gateway for other TNA stars to appear on WWE.

WWE has forged a positive relationship with TNA. In the past many stars from TNA have briefly appeared on the Stamford-based promotion’s episodes.
