One of the many superstars to mourn the unexpected death of WWE’s Bray Wyatt was Dwayne Johnson. The Brahma Bull was visibly heartbroken over his friend and peer’s sudden passing and let out his boundless respect and love for the transcended soul on Twitter.

Amidst the persistent outpouring of millions of prayers and messages from other stars and followers across the globe, a former WWE head writer chose to revisit the enigmatic presence of The Eater of The World and gave significant exposure to how The Rock valued Wyatt as a performer.

The Rock’s respect for Wyatt goes a long way back. Although the two WWE wrestlers never locked horns, they once came pretty close to it. Back in 2016, at the stage of WrestleMania 32, Johnson and Wyatt had an amazing collaboration, making it a big spotlight gig. Speaking on the moment, Brian Gewirtz noted that The Rock wanted to put over Bray Wyatt even at the cost of his big guy personality.

”The Rock wanted to work with him. I wanted Rock to work with him. Bray obviously would be more than happy to do a segment with The Rock. But even when we put that segment together, it was like, ‘Alright, Bray, you’ll say your stuff, I’ll just let you do it. Because I’m certainly not writing anything for Bray Wyatt. Here’s the outline. Whatever you say, Rock will respond to,” the WWE veteran revealed.

Noting how The Rock gave up on his star power to glorify the late superstar, Gewirtz continued, ”He’s got the charisma, he’s got this magnetic power about him, and of course, you can’t teach this stuff. But Bray and Rock, with the presence to take that moment and take their time, acknowledge the crowd.”

Johnson didn’t do it for the sake of it. He was ready to give up his over-the-top personality, as he was genuinely smitten by the compelling narratives and promos that the late superstar brought to the mix.

However, Wyatt issued a Twitter mercy to the multi-time world champion for harassing him a bit on the WrestleMania stage.

Bray Wyatt forgave The Rock for some of his antics during their WrestleMania 32 encounter

It seems like Wyatt evened every equation with his WWE peers before leaving them for good. Back in 2019, he went on a Twitter journey to either seek forgiveness or offer forgiveness to every fighter he ever had a gross feud with.

As a part of that trend, he turned his head toward DJ and publicly forgave him for assaulting him at WrestleMania 39. The Rock also had a heartfelt response, expressing how proud he was that Wyatt turned into a better man.
