We have seen many wrestlers fight through injuries and health issues to put on a show for the fans and finish a match. Triple H tore his quadriceps in 2001 while in a match, but still managed to pull through. Stone Cold Steve Austin completed a match despite suffering a broken neck and temporary paralysis against Owen Hart.
Recently, Cody Rhodes went into his match inside Hell in a Cell against Seth Rollins despite a torn pectoral muscle and put on a performance of a lifetime. We may just have one more name to add to this after the events of Crown Jewel.

Moreover, this isn’t the first time McIntyre has worked through illness. A couple of months ago, appeared in a segment on SmackDown against Karrion Kross and even got physical despite being ill because of food poisoning.
