Matt Riddle has had a great journey from the UFC to the WWE. Joining the WWE in 2018, Riddle was quick to gain a fan following. Teaming up with Randy Orton revitalized his career until his release from the WWE in September 2023. However, now he has a new venture in life: fatherhood.

Despite leaving the WWE, the WWE Universe was surprised by the announcement Riddle made on social media.

Riddle joined the WWE on August 18, 2018, on NXT. He was also part of Triple H’s war on RAW and SmackDown. Due to his MMA background and in-ring talent, he quickly gained a following. This led him to a successful run in the WWE under the SmackDown banner.

His most famous run was teaming with Randy Orton in 2021, forming the RK-Bro. Together as a comedy duo, they were very popular as a team among fans. At SummerSlam 2020, they defeated AJ Styles and Omos to win their first WWE Raw Tag Team Championship.

Unfortunately, they would lose the titles on the January 10, 2022, episode of RAW to Alpha Academy. In March, they would win the titles again before losing it to The Usos on SmackDown after 74 days. Following this, Orton would be sidelined from in-ring work due to a back injury, and the RK-Bro would disband.

On September 22, 2023, Riddle announced his departure from WWE. In October, his partner, Misha Montana, who works in adult films, took to social media to announce the two had a baby bro. This would be the fourth child for Riddle and the first for Montana.

Riddle’s current status and work endeavors

Currently, Riddle is working in no wrestling promotion. Since announcing on social media that the couple was expecting their first child on July 7, 2023, Riddle has been spending his time with his partner. There are no plans currently for Riddle to return to the squared circle. Being active on social media, he is known to inform his fans about any future endeavors.

Since his departure from the WWE, speculation arose he would be debuting on AEW. However, no confirmation has come from either side. Riddle was a fan favorite due to his comic nature and in-ring ability. Working opposite someone as serious as Orton elevated his place in the WWE.
