The Premium Live Event Elimination Chamber 2022 took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The event’s main card kicked off with The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns defending the WWE Universal Championship against The Icon Goldberg. However, the match result was quite disappointing.
It was already speculated that this would be Goldberg’s last match in the WWE. Despite Golberg’s two ‘spears’ on the Needle Mover, Reigns locked The Icon in ‘guillotine choke.’

WWE fans react to the Universal Title match at Elimination Chamber
The WWE Universal title match was very short and did not live up to the fans’ expectations. Therefore, after the results, fans stormed on social media to react to the match. Some fans took to Twitter and stated that Saudi Arabia wanted to spend money, and they did by spending it on the WWE Hall of Famer.
Thank goodness.. imagine having to watch another Goldberg – Lesnar match at Mania.. 😴💤 Match was still godawful though.
Roman still champ. Goldberg only there for the large pay cheque.

Meanwhile, some fans were not happy and furious with WWE for departing the legend Goldberg in such a poor manner.
We knew that Roman Reigns would win. This was Goldberg's last match and the WWE is not going to have Goldberg win the championship with no plans for him to defend it.

Some WWE fans also shared the thought that Goldberg had his hands on the rope when he was in the corner during the lock.
What the hack was that ? That match didn’t even last that long … Horrible start to the show

That was terrible. They would’ve been better off to let Goldberg walk then finish out the last match on his contract like that.

The match between Roman Reigns and Goldberg was two years in the making. If it was two years earlier, the match would have lasted more than what Elimination Chamber 2022 showed us.
